Design Process

At Kavyam Studio, we follow a 3-step design process that serves as the roadmap for our full service interior design. Click on the drop down menus below to learn more about each phase: Discovery, Planning & Implementation.

  • We begin with a short conversation to understand your project, timing, and priorities, and to determine whether Full Service is the right fit.

Most projects then begin with the Design Psychology Blueprint Session, a structured 60 to 90 minute working session that helps clarify the brief, uncover practical and emotional priorities, and shape the overall direction before moving into detailed design.

Following this, we prepare a custom fee proposal based on the scope, level of support required, and project complexity.

  • Once the project begins, we develop the design in detail. This phase may include site measurements, concept development, layout planning, 2D or 3D visuals, finishes and furnishings selections, sample boards, schedules, and coordinated design presentations for review and approval.

  • Once the design is approved, we move into implementation support. Depending on the project, this may include procurement, coordination with contractors or trades, installation oversight, and final styling so the home feels resolved down to the last layer.
